Main Room: Ramshackle
Ramshackle is the UK’s biggest alternative night. Every Friday at the Carling Academy Bristol, DJ Dan, Dave Remix and Geck play a mix of the best indie rock & roll, influential retro and funky shit while Generation X play the best punk, rock & metal anthems in the second room giving you two clubs for the price of one.
The legendary Ramshackle has also played host to some of the UK’s hottest bands recent live guests have included The Fratellis, The Young Knives and OK Go. While our guest DJs have included none other than Zane Lowe, Carl Barat, Snow Patrol, Editors, Bloc Party and Hard-fi.
What’s more Ramshackle regularly features exclusive album launch parties for some of the biggest releases, giving you a chance to hear tracks from the album before its official release while getting your hands on some special free giveaways, including t-shirts, CDs, posters & much more.

Room Two: Generation X
Generation X hosts Ramshackle Bristol's second room, at the Carling Academy
2 Bristol, every Friday night. The music is varied each week bringing you the best in new and classic Punk,
Rock, Metal, Emo, Ska-Punk, Grunge, Hard Edged Alternative and more played
by the fun loving Generation X DJ team of Dave Remix, MattSetback and Old
Man Rich.
Over the years we have been joined by loads of guest DJs, including Mike Davis (Radio 1 Rock Show), as well as the best local bands all stepping up to the decks and entertaining the masses. We run regular promotion nights for music and DVDs and we are the only rock club in the area recognised Roadrunner Records - home of some of the best rock bands in the world.
Generation X has been running in Bristol for over 5 years and is the longest running weekly rock club in the city.
